Internal Controller, Japan (Tokyo)
 
Essential Responsibilities: 
 
-Ensure integrity & controls of financial statements & business assets 
 
-Lead financial reporting and closing processes over 2 platforms (Japan & Taiwan) &
3 investment type (REO, JV, Debt) 
 
-Ensure full compliance with corporate account reconciliation standards, statutory &
USGAAP reporting & SOX. 
 
-Establish and maintain system of internal controls, which verify integrity of
sub-ledger and general ledger. 
 
-Drive operational efficiency of accounting process by simplification,
system implementation & outsourcing.
 
-Provide accounting guidance for complex transactions for appropriate
treatment under USGAAP & business controls. 
 
-Be a primary interface between the business and both internal and external auditors 
-Lead the group of 20 employees.
 
 
Qualifications/Requirements:
 
-CPA or equivalent; 
-Public accounting audit management experience, preferred 
-Knowledge of Japan/US GAAP & reporting requirements 
-10 years or more of related experience with increasing responsibility 
-Real estate or financial service experiences, preferred 
-Proven leadership and development of resources & management of offshore experience. 
-Proven management of critical deliverables- Highly motivated, committed & results oriented 
-Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues 
-Outstanding interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills to work cross functionally. 
-Proficiency in Oracle preferable, preferred- Business level in Japanese & English
