FileNet Application Architect

Reporting to: Systems Support Team Leader and Project Managers in Development

Scope of the Position:

Reporting to the System Support Team Leader and Project Managers. This key architect role will leverage candidate’s in-depth application expertise in Filenet P8 technology to design, deliver and maintain ECM/BPM solutions. The candidate will provide overall design and technical leadership to project teams delivering content ingestion (scan, fax and email integration), work flow and document management applications leveraging the Filenet application infrastructure. Interacts frequently with other application/infrastructure teams and business users to gather both functional and non-functional requirements.

Functional Tasks

Demonstrated ability in the following:

•           Provides expertise in the business processes supported by the application.

•           Provides knowledge & guidance for technical integrations of all internal applications including assistance in vendor selections.

•           Collaborates with other architects and development teams to define hardware/software requirements, plan and execute the integration of acquisition applications and corporate initiatives, and coordinate project schedules, budgets, management requests and work authorizations.

•           Collects, verifies, and documents application technical procedures and standards.

•           Proactively seeks application best practices to gain a deeper knowledge of corporate preferred tools.

•           Leverages extensive Filenet P8 application experience to lead project teams in the technical design, development, testing and deployment of ECM/BPM applications.

•           Provides business process consulting & expertise in support of the effective design of ECM and workflow solutions.

•           Defines and articulates Filenet application design standards to drive a common approach and ensure both scalability and performance of delivered solutions.

•           Analyze, design and maintain document data model (document class/properties design), object security model and process maps in FileNet.

Software Skills:

Position requires expertise in the following:

•           Technical experience working with the following technologies:

•           Programming language: JAVA, SQL (COM will be a plus, but not mandatory)

•           Platform: J2EE (WebSphere WAS desirable)

•           RDBMS: DB2 (desirable) or Oracle

•           OS:  Windows Server or AIX UNIX

•           Experience in package/legacy application integration using Web Services and SOAP interface.

•           In-depth expertise with Filenet P8 application and architecture, 5+ years experience with key components including: document management, workflow and document scanning.

•           Experience with FileNet P8 product suite required. Must have P8 experience with Application Engine, Content Engine, Process Engine and Capture/Fax integration. Process Analyzer, Records Manager and Email Manager will be a plus.

•           5+ years of experience defining architecture for enterprise software development projects using FileNet P8 imaging and workflow

•           Ability to communicate with business users and system professional

•           Excellent written and oral skills in Japanese (Business level or higher, advanced or native level preferred)

•           Microsoft Project

•           Microsoft Office applications

Sun Java Certification (SCJA, SCJP, SCJD, SCDJWS) will be a plus
