Group Manager, Displays
 
Role Responsibilities:
· Provide technical leadership and to the entire engineering group in Tokyo.
· Define a growth strategy consistent with the company goals to create a state of the art design center.
· Reporting to Design Manager help plan and execute the projects and resource allocation to achieve goals
· Key technical contact for the manufacturing partners as well as customers in Asia for Display products
· Develop core technical know-how and understanding of competition technology strengths
 
Direct Reports (employees titles): Design and Layout Engineers
 
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
· Group manager of Tokyo design team responsible for developing integrated circuits for display drivers
· Ensure the engineers follow procedures and design practices that are required by internal guidelines as
well as expected from any state of the art technology leader in the industry
· Ensure that the design team’s career development needs are met and they are adequately trained for the
job and establish positive attitude and continued innovation
· Ensure the R&D group in Tokyo is an integral part of the Engineering group and works well with other
sites.
· Ensure technology lead position in all areas of design including both analogue and digital circuits, system
level concepts and signal processing algorithms

Key Candidate Attributes:
Essential -
· Enthusiasm and experience of handling design and layout engineers
· Experience of hands-on analog and digital IC design development is essential
· Familiarity with the image processing and artifacts related to display products highly desired
· Outward looking, positive individual with leadership skills
· Ability to work under pressure and with multi-site, multi-national design teams
· Written and verbal English is necessary.
