Senior Business Consultant - Price revenue Management
Report to: US/UK
A global ERP company is looking for an experienced business consultant, based in Tokyo, with strong project management skills, with prior experience in pricing and revenue management for a passenger travel operator.
Qualifications:
The following are mandatory qualifications for this role:
• Experience of implementing PRM solutions in the passenger rail and/or express coach industry highly preferable
• 10+ years experience in successfully managing large complex IT software application based projects, to meet tight deadlines. PRINCE2 or PMP certified preferable
• Degree qualified (Masters preferred) in subject relevant to this role
• Excellent communications skills (both verbal and written)
• Proven experience in managing project risks
• Native Japanese language skills. Fluent in English (working language)
• Ability to travel within the Europe, the US and Asia
• Previous experience working in a small to medium sized company
• Previous experience working in consultancy/vendor organization
• Previous experience implementing mathematical and/or data intensive applications
Major Responsibilities:
• Manages services engagements including interactions with client project team and client executives.
• Lead project team to ensure smooth and efficient implementation and integration between technical and functional system requirements.
• Works as functional lead between Project Team outside Japan and key customer senior executives and business users.
• Works with all levels of associates in developing functional specifications, analysis of user needs and testing deliverables.
• Participates in business process analysis or design/construction phase of the project that leads to writing functional specifications.
• Develops or guides team in the development of functional specifications for modifications, interfaces, reports and screens that meet the customers business objectives and are of sound design.
• Understands how solutions can be configured to better facilitate business processes.
• Resolves all project risks & issues (e.g. organization, budget, timeline, scope changes, software functionality and technology).
• Provides regular project communication and status reporting.
• Manages project quality to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Ensures that projects deliver the value/ROI sold with the engagement.
• Builds collaborative relationship that increases customer's perception of the value that the solution brings to their business and expands future business opportunities.
• Collaborates with appropriate internal resources on customer's business, organization and culture to strengthen their credibility as trusted advisors.
• Helps validate and produce appropriate baseline project plans and project documents.
• Assists in generating Statement of Work and customer proposal documents.
• Works with appropriate parties to plan project resource requirements.
• Assesses project performance and communicates lessons learned to increase institutional knowledge.
